Quartz crystal resonators are thin slices of quartz that vibrate at a precise frequency when an AC signal of a matching frequency is applied to them. They are commonly used in oscillator circuits and can be found in everyday electronic devices for timing and frequency control. Their stable frequency and exceedingly high Q factor makes them ideal for use in clocks, watches, oscillators and other frequency-sensitive applications.

Oscillators, often referred to as Crystal Oscillators, Clock Oscillators or Standard Packaged Crystal Oscillators (SPXOs), are electronic circuits that use a quartz crystal as the resonant element to generate a highly stable frequency reference. TCXOs (Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillators) and VCTCXOs (Voltage-Controlled Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillators) are both designed to maintain stable frequency output despite temperature fluctuations. Unlike TCXOs which compensate for temperature variations, OCXOs use a built-in heating element to ensure minimal frequency drift. They are ideal for applications requiring extremely accurate frequency control such as telecommunications, broadcasting and high-performance computing.

Real-Time Clock (RTC) modules are specialised components designed to keep track of time even when the main system is powered off.
