Disruption in the frequency marketplace projected to last until 2023

The frequency industry, like many manufacturing industries, has been badly hit by disruption caused by COVID-19 shutdowns around the globe. The ongoing effects of these shutdowns is such that, over a year after the first temporary factory shutdown, frequency component supply has become bottle-necked due to scarcity of piece parts and in some cases manufacturing capability.

The frequency marketplace has been significantly disrupted by covid-19 shutdowns.

In order to successfully prioritize those components which are most urgently needed, the obsolescence timescale of parts belonging to some of our older families of oscillators, VCXOs and crystals have been shortened with the result that several models are now approaching their last time buy dates. All customers who are affected will be contacted individually and supplied with the relevant product change notice (PCN) and last time buy information.


Rationalization of Older Oscillator and Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCXO) Families

Some older oscillator and VCXO product models are becoming obsolete in a product rationalization driven by current market conditions. Find out more here.

  • GVXO-54
