What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a UK Government backed scheme that aims to provide a baseline of awareness and compliance with cyber security principles.
Achieving accreditation provides evidence that the holder has awareness of cyber threats and mitigations. This can help reassure their customers, suppliers and partners that cyber security is treated seriously within the organisation.
Certification lasts for one year only, so a body needs to review their security systems and processes on a regular basis, incorporating the latest updates in the published requirement. This ensures awareness of new and emerging threats and technologies.
